The elbow Drop out splint is manufactured using a combicast technique, the versatility of using a rigid and semi rigid casting material allows the clinician to provide the correct level of support for the indication.
Contracture of the elbow is a common complaint following a brain injury or trauma such as a fracture or dislocation. The elbow drop out splint will maintain the position whilst allowing additional physiotherapy to improve the range of extension at the elbow.
